How to choose the best solar mounting system for your roof?

When installing a solar power station for your home or business, the choice of solar mounting system is often underestimated, but it is actually the “skeleton” of the entire system.

A high-quality mounting system not only determines the lifespan of the photovoltaic panels but also directly affects the power generation efficiency.

First, you need to choose the mounting system according to the roof type. For pitched roofs, hook-type aluminum alloy rail mounting systems are typically used.

This structure is lightweight, has excellent corrosion resistance, and fits perfectly against the roof tiles. For flat roofs, galvanized steel interlocking photovoltaic mounting systems are recommended, using concrete foundation blocks to resist wind loads.

Material is another key point. Although aluminum alloy mounting systems are slightly more expensive, they are lightweight and corrosion-resistant, suitable for roofs with limited load-bearing capacity; hot-dip galvanized steel mounting systems have extremely high strength and lower cost, making them more suitable for large ground-mounted power stations.

Finally, be sure to pay attention to the adjustability of the mounting system. Good solar mounting systems support tilt adjustment, allowing your modules to capture more sunlight in summer and winter.

Choosing the right mounting system is half the battle won in your green energy investment.
